2. What data is collected
When you send an enquiry through the contact form or by email, I receive the details you provide: name, company, email address, phone number (optional), the type of support you need and your message.
When you visit the website, the hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and time of access. This is needed to deliver the site securely.
3. Why and on what legal basis
- Answering your enquiry and preparing a possible engagement: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to a contract) and your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
- Operating and securing the website: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working site).
Your data is not sold, not used for advertising and not shared with third parties beyond the service providers listed below.
4. Service providers
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website, processes technical connection data and provides Cloudflare Web Analytics, an anonymous, cookie-free visitor count that does not track individual users. Cloudflare relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses for transfers outside the EU.
- Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.) provides the fonts used on this site. Your browser loads them from Google's servers, which transmits your IP address to Google.
- Email provider (Microsoft Outlook): enquiries are received and stored in my email inbox.
- Web3Forms forwards contact form submissions to my email inbox.
5. How long data is kept
Enquiries are kept as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting engagement, and deleted when no longer required, unless legal retention obligations apply (for example for tax records).
6. Cookies
This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Visitor statistics are collected with Cloudflare Web Analytics without cookies and without identifying individual visitors.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise these rights, simply write to dirkmiessen@outlook.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live, work or where you believe your data was processed unlawfully.
